Boy Wonder.

A few months ago, we noticed that Jackson was standing closer to the TV, was squinting while reading, and couldn't see the time unless he was standing near the clock. All signs of bad eyesight, and I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't sad that it was pretty possible that his tender face would have specs perched atop his nose. We finally were able to get him into the pediatric optamologist a few weeks back, had him fitted for glasses, and they finally arrived this week. He picked this pair out all by himself, and I have to say that I am stunned by how much I love them.

I can't stop staring at him when he wears them, and I probably just look like a goofball as I grin at his handsome face. I find it funny that I was worried about how he'd look in them; I actually now prefer him to wear them!

So far he has been really good about taking care of them. He is getting used to them so he doesn't like to wear them all the time, but when he does have them on you can tell that he can see so much better. It will be an adjustment for him to get used to them; I personally don't like how glasses feel on my face all day, so I'm pretty laidback when it comes to him asking to take them off for a bit. His vision isn't that bad...it is actually the same prescription as mine, so I know that he can get around fine without them.

So, here he is, Boy Wonder...image complete.
